Acknowledge: Day 4

Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.

Thought

The rhythm of the seasons is part of God’s order in the world. There is something comforting in the predictability, even the reliability of winter rains and then spring rains that water the earth. Part of the adjustment of grief is finding a new rhythm to life, a new order for life without the presence of your loved one. Acknowledge God’s order for your life; listen for the rhythm of God’s grace.

Prayer

God, the rains come with each season to water the earth and bring new life. May the season of my life yet return to spring. Amen.
