Acknowledge: Day 5

“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”

Thought

You grow spiritually when you reach out with newfound compassion and understanding to acknowledge and comfort another who grieves. When you embrace others who are grieving the loss of a loved one, you offer them the support of a profound, shared experience. In your outreach you acknowledge to them the power and presence of God in grief.

Prayer

God, I acknowledge with gratitude your abiding presence in grief. May I extend your hand through mine to another who is in need. Amen.

Assurance

When I acknowledge the power of Christ before others, Christ acknowledges me before God.
