Confidence: Day 3

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NRSV

Thought

How do you rebuild confidence after the death of your loved one? You do not do it entirely alone but with the support of community. At work, in your church, or in your volunteer service you experience restored confidence as you engage and take on new duties or responsibilities. Your self-confidence is bolstered by the satisfaction of a hobby or recreation. You are affirmed by the enrichment and enjoyment of independent travel. Your children, grandchildren, and friends assure you that you are of value to them and to others. Your confidence is renewed in the hope of life.

Prayer

God, there is joy and peace in believing in you and your plan for my life. Help me to not only hope but also abound in hope. Amen.

Assurance

My hope in grief is my confidence in the divine plan of the loving, caring God who is the author of all hope.
