Emotional: Day 7

I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I keep the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure.

Thought

There is an interdependence of mind, body, heart, and soul that seems especially acute in grief. Acceptance is the rebalancing and fine-tuning of the God-ordained aspects of your spirit that make you unique and individual. On this day of rest for your soul, listen for the wise counsel of God.

Prayer

God, you are always before me. You hold my hand; sometimes I stop holding yours. Thank you for the security of your steadfast love. Amen.

Assurance

My heart will one day be glad; my soul will again rejoice.
