Healing: Day 6
Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
Luke 6:18-19 NIV
Thought
Spiritual and emotional healing from grief are perhaps best described as recovery. You convalesce for a while and recuperate from grief. Then you turn a corner and forge ahead into life. If you are finding satisfaction again in life, then you are recovering. Likely you have heard yourself say, whether silently or aloud, “I am better,” “I want to live,” “Life is good,” or some other self-talk that is affirmative and positive. This is a sure indication that you are recovering from grief.
Prayer
God, I rest in the power of Christ. His healing and hope come to me as a gift of your Holy Spirit. Amen.
Assurance
The spiritual and emotional reminder of my most acute pain is my scar, now part of who I am.
