Stress: Day 6

When I thought, “My foot is slipping,” your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.

Thought

In stress you may cry, “My foot is slipping.” The wisdom of the ages, anecdotal reports, numerous clinical studies, and sophisticated tests confirm that strong social and emotional support systems offer relief from stress. Social support improves health and prolongs life. The steadfast love of God holds you up in grief. God knows the cares of your heart.

Prayer

God, in the stress of grief, the cares of my heart are, indeed, many. Thank you for the consolation of your steadfast love. Amen.
