For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.”

For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past, or like a watch in the night.

At present all I know is a little fraction of the truth, but the time will come when I shall know it as fully as God now knows me!

As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.

Let marriage be held in honour by all.

“Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.”

Remember today that it was not your children (who have not known or seen the discipline of the LORD your God), but it is you who must acknowledge his greatness, his mighty hand and his outstretched arm.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself.

Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

Blessed be the name of God from age to age, for wisdom and power are his.
